Why a flagship?
The key purpose of the Flagship is to act as a catalyst to ensure that the right to education and the goals of the Dakar Framework are realised for individuals with disabilities.
How it works?
The Flagship will work in partnership with other UN agencies, international and
national disability organisations and donors.
The Flagship will pursue the need for policy makers and NGOs to work directly and
in participation with local, national, regional and global organisations comprised of
and representing individuals with disabilities and their families.
Web-site is under construction
The secretariat is developing the web-site in partnership with NGOs and other actors of the field. We welcome your suggestions how to develop the site further. At the moment we are seeking and asking for material available from the WWW. Please, visit the Contacts page which will provide more information for you how to proceed. Currently, we are building a material data-base that will offer links to various WWW-sources.
The contents of this web-site were developed under a support from the Finnish Ministry
for Foreign Affairs (MFA) for the Flagship initiative "The right to
education for persons with disabilities: Towards inclusion" of UNESCO advancing
the Education For All programme. The contents do not necessarily represent the policy
of the UNESCO, MFA, University of Jyväskylä, and FIDIDA, and you should not
assume endorsements.
